Alumnae Office
1996. Produced a video for The Sweet Briar College Museum for visitor orientation called The Founders Story. It was produced so that visitors would have a better idea about what they were seeing in the museum. It has also been helpful to show new students, and employees. It is available in the Alumnae Office.
1996-1997. Alumna-in-Residence program begins in response to a request to have more alumnae come back to campus to network with students and talk about their careers. List of participants and questionnaires available in the Alumnae Office. More information on the program - Sweet Briar Alumnae Magazine (Summer/Fall 1999).
1997-1999. Surveyed alumnae in the class of 1966-98 to obtain updated occupational information, ask if they were willing to network with students, and to share their views on how well Sweet Briar College prepared them for graduate school and/or their career. This was done in order to help students to networking with alumnae who would be willing to assist them with their post graduate plans. Surveys are available in the Alumnae Office.
1998 (July). Completed a review of all Alumnae Association programs for a Campaign Readiness Assessment conducted by Grenzebach Glier & Associates, Inc. Binder with all materials available in the Alumnae Office.
1998. Alumnae Magazine changes format to be thematically focused. A campus based Editorial Committee was established and meets three times a year to plan future issues and review reader surveys. Survey analysis available in the Alumnae Office.
1998. New Bylaws of The Alumnae Association of Sweet Briar College are approved at the Annual Meeting of the Alumnae Association following a year of writing and review. This was done to streamline our governance process. Bylaws available in the Sweet Briar College Alumnae Association Board Manual, available in the Alumnae Office.
1999. New Alumnae Association Strategic Plan approved on April 17, 1999 following a year of Alumnae Board/Association development. This was done to make certain that the Alumnae Association was focusing its energy and resources on the themes identified as most important and that it was in sync with the College Strategic Plan.
